United BioSource Volunteers Come Through for Omega!

Many hands make light work and this is especially true on moving days! Omega, a centre for people experiencing mental health difficulties, has recently taken possession of their new residence in Pierrefonds and contacted Volunteer West Island to request help from volunteers.
A team of enthusiastic volunteers, headed by Research Associate Karen Yeomans, from the Dorval location of United BioSource Corporation lent their energies to help the Omega Centre staff set up apartments for clients. These energetic employee-volunteers organized kitchens and bedrooms, unpacking and placing dishes, utensils, pots and pans, towels and linens in cupboards and closets, making up beds, hanging curtains, and generally giving the apartments that homey touch to welcome the new residents.
In the words of Omega’s Administrative Director, Debbie St-Martin, “They were great!” And not only did these helpers provide much needed assistance; they brought pizza as well! This is the moving crew to have!
