In response to the violent earthquake that recently wrecked such havoc upon the island of Haiti, Radio 94.7 Hits FM and the Otis Grant & Friends Foundation organized a radiothon on January 29th, broadcasting live for 12 consecutive hours, from the TASK parking lot on the Trans Canada Highway service road in Pointe Claire.    ....more

Youth in Action - Volunteer Awards

Yolande James, MNA for Nelligan, and Volunteer West Island Executive Director Chantal Ménard presented certificates and awards to participants and winners of the Youth in Action program at the recent Awards Ceremony. The program, a first in the West Island, was launched in September as an initiative to encourage and recognize outstanding volunteer contributions made by young people.    ....more
