Welcome to Volunteer West Island! Imagine the possibilities of volunteers and community groups working together to make our community a better place to live, work and play! Mission: Our mission is to promote volunteerism by recruiting, training and referring volunteers for more than 100 non-profit organizations serving the West Island. We celebrated our 40 th anniversary in 2007 and have recruited close to 20,000 volunteers in four decades. If you are interested in volunteering for a few hours, one day or on an ongoing basis, visit our “Volunteer Opportunities” page to find an opportunity that’s right for you. It is also our mission to provide in-house services and programs to break the isolation for seniors living on the West Island.
